Training built on trust and positive connection

    Hi, I'm Andrea!

Welcome to Doggy Decorum! I'm Andrea, the owner and head trainer. My journey with dogs started over 15 years ago, and it has been the most rewarding career I could have imagined.

I believe that every dog is unique, and training should be tailored to their individual personality, needs, and learning style. That's why I take a wholistic approach that considers not just behavior, but also nutrition, environment, and the emotional bond between you and your dog.

My methods are based on positive reinforcement - using rewards, praise, and encouragement rather than punishment or fear. This creates a fun learning experience for your dog and builds a foundation of trust and respect.

When I'm not training dogs, you can find me hiking with my own pack, attending continuing education seminars, or volunteering at local rescue organizations. I'm passionate about helping dogs and their families live their best lives together!

    The Wholistic Difference 🌿

What sets Doggy Decorum apart from other training services

    More Than Just Commands

Traditional training often focuses only on teaching commands like "sit" and "stay." At Doggy Decorum, we look at the whole picture. We consider your dog's physical health, diet, exercise needs, mental stimulation, and emotional well-being. When all these elements are in balance, behavior problems often resolve naturally.

    Training in Your Home

Dogs learn best in the environment where they'll be using their skills. That's why I come to you! In-home training allows us to address real-life situations like greeting guests at the door, staying calm during meal prep, or walking nicely in your own neighborhood. You'll see results that actually transfer to daily life.

    Nutrition Matters

Did you know that diet can affect behavior? Many behavioral issues are linked to nutritional deficiencies, food sensitivities, or gut health. As part of our training programs, I offer nutrition guidance to ensure your dog is getting the fuel they need to be their best selves.
